Whilst BLS is a small group of dedicated individuals, we have considerable talent, aspirations and high ideals.
Our goals for the future while expanding BLS across Europe and beyond is to deliver outstanding consultancy, support and training for all organisations that must adhere to GDPR, by providing all of our clients with a dynamic service provision which listens, understands and anticipates their Privacy requirements and those of the people that they serve.
Sandra’s background is in health and social care, specialising in multi agency data sharing and assurance of information and care records. She is an experienced Caldicott Guardian across hospices, adults and children’s services. In 2018 she was appointed as Vice Chair for the United Kingdom Caldicott Guardian Council (UKCGC) where she supports the national agenda for Caldicott Guardians and helped to write the national Caldicott Guardian Manual.
Sandra’s expertise in completing and reviewing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and reviewing submissions to the Confidentiality Advisory Group have been welcomed by a wide range of clients.
Previously Sandra has been responsible for IT and Procurement at a Large City Council and uses her knowledge in these areas to support organisations with GDPR compliance and best practice.
She has also implemented ICO compliance audit actions in a number of organisation types which have since been recognised as exemplars.
Sandra is passionate about supporting the education sector and helped almost 100 schools/academies and universities with their compliance and training requirements.
Since 2003 Sandra has undertaken a national and international role as a public speaker and undertaken roles as a Director, Chairperson and Non-Executive Director of the Best Practice User Group for project management.
