Keighley based data protection experts BLS Stay Compliant were proud to have been invited to join the partners in the Northern Powerhouse trade mission later this month.
BLS Stay Compliant Directors Sandra Lomax and Gary Baker travelled to Dubai as part of the mission ahead of the Arab Health Medical Event. The event attracted crowds of over 55,000 attendees, from 159 countries worldwide.
Gary Baker – BLS Stay Compliant Founder and Director said:
“We’re delighted to partner with the Northern Powerhouse. Joining this trade mission will give us a great insight into a key market for us, in the Middle East. The initiative is important for the economy and for investing in Northern businesses, so we’re thrilled to be a part of that.”
The Northern Powerhouse trade mission is supported by the Department for International Trade and is aimed at developing the economy of the North of England by helping businesses get in front of key decision makers and buyers in select markets.
This mission to Arab Health puts Northern organisations into the largest medical exhibition in the Middle East, where industry professionals and market leaders from all over the world come together to do business.
Sandra Lomax – BLS Stay Compliant Founder and Director added:
“The company has come such a long way since we began back in 2014 and expanding further into overseas markets, particularly in the Middle East where we already have some links, feels like the next natural step in our progression.”
BLS Stay Compliant’s participation in the mission is a significant boost for the Company, which has grown from a start-up in 2014 to an SME with international clients by 2020.
For BLS Stay Compliant, joining the Northern Powerhouse trade mission means bringing their extensive data protection knowledge to the Middle East, working with clients who use, store or transfer data.
Building a Northern Powerhouse is designed to boost the Northern economy by investing in skills, innovation, transport and culture, as well as devolving significant powers and budgets to directly elected mayors. This can’t be done without a cadre of passionate businesses and organisations, who all believe strongly in the economic potential of the North.
