Incident and Breach Management

ADVISORY

Providing urgent expert support when things go wrong

Despite all the best efforts, breaches can still occur. If the worst should happen and you’re wondering what to do next, we can guide you in minimising risk, protecting your reputation and how to proceed once the breach has been reported.

All breaches of data under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation must be reported to the Information Commissioners Office within 72 hours of discovery. If we can help you manage a suspected data breach and what to do next, get in touch as soon as possible. We aim to respond to data breach incident notifications within 24 hours, if not sooner.

Similarly, if you’ve had a major incident and are concerned for the security of your personal data on file or are simply concerned something might not be quite right we can help put your mind at ease and guide you through the next steps.

“We were thoroughly reassured and supported by BLS during what we thought was a data breach. Whilst it wasn’t too damaging in this instance we are grateful that, should we need them again, BLS will support us when we need it.”
