Ishbel is a passionate data protection advocate, with over 10 years’ experience in information governance and data protection, working across a variety of sectors.

She holds a degree in law and has extensive experience constructing information governance audit documents to provide evidential data to indicate compliance, as well as designing and presenting both learning activities and training.

Ishbel has held many senior positions throughout her career and has been responsible for reviewing and creating information governance policies and notices as well as managing all aspects of information governance accidents, incidents, near misses and observations in accordance with the national risk register.

She is an expert in managing, collating and responding to client requests such as subject access requests and freedom of information requests, having overseen many elements of this throughout her career. As a result, she has an extensive understanding of records retention and management as well as in reviewing and creating such policies and procedures.
