It’s our tenth anniversary!

We’re celebrating 10 years of success!

Baker, Lomax and Shackley – as it was then known – was formed by our three founding directors on 14th May 2014, in a busy cafe in a quiet Yorkshire town.

The three founders drew together a wide array of skills and knowledge from across a variety of sectors, forming a solid expert base to guide clients in their data protection and information governance.

Baker, Lomax and Shackley later became BLS Stay Compliant, introducing a training component to the company – a regular client request and one that has grown from strength to strength. Where initially only two courses were offered, we now provide over 15  courses including RIPA, SIRO, Caldicott Guardian, Data Protection Officer and Safer Recruitment amongst others. In 2023 alone, we coached over 3,000 delegates across 442 training hours.

Our services arm has also grown exponentially, we now offer a variety of services nationwide and have a selection of international clients. Our offerings span from GDPR audits, to policy writing and reviews, to board briefings, to DSP Toolkit audits and advice, among many more. We now have a solid returning client base spanning over 100 sectors are absolutely thrilled to still be working with many clients who joined us from the very start of our journey. To them we can only say a heartfelt thanks for trusting us and supporting us through the years.

We are very proud to work alongside all of our clients, who inspire us to keep reaching ahead and striving for more.

Our team has grown too, all with the same intention; to support our clients in their data protection, however they need us.
